METROPOLIS, Ill. — Kathryn Grothman, 89, of Metropolis died Saturday at Tender Loving Care in Metropolis.

She was one of Jehovah’s Witnesses. She enjoyed studying the Bible, gardening and quilting.

She is survived by one brother, George Grothman of Marengo, Iowa; and two nieces, Rebecca Turner of Marengo, Iowa, and Darla Bradley of Metropolis.

She was preceded in death by one brother. Her parents were Louis Grothman and Bertha Quint Grothman.

Memorial services will be 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses in Metropolis with Grant Payne Sr. officiating.
