BENTON — Elnora Melton, 93, of Benton died at 3:10 a.m. Thursday at Marshall County Hospital.

She was a member of Palma United Methodist Church.

She is survived by three sons, Vernon R. Baker of Newbern, Ind.; Tommy Melton of Robards, and William Melton of Calhoun; three daughters, Anna Higgs of Madison, Charlotte Higginson of Sebree, and Donna Goode of Owensboro; 11 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Woodrow Wilson “Buck” Melton; one daughter, Amy Emmons; one granddaughter; one brother; and three sisters. Her parents were Rainey and Nora Rose.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Filbeck-Cann & King Funeral Home with Ben Northcutt officiating. Burial will follow in Marshall County Memory Gardens. Friends may call after 9 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
