MAYFIELD — Services for James William Simpson, 84, of Mayfield will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Brown Funeral Home in Mayfield. The Rev. Larry Jamison will officiate. Burial will be in Oak Rest Cemetery in Mayfield.

Mr. Simpson died Monday morning at his home.

He retired from the Kentucky-Tennessee Clay Co., and was a member of Trinity New Hope Christian Church in Mayfield.

Survivors include his son, Bobby Simpson of Mayfield; his sister, Gertrude Dumas of Mayfield; two nieces; and two nephews.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Maxine Simpson; four brothers and one sister. His parents were Joe Henry and Mollie White Simpson.

Friends may call after noon Friday at the funeral home.
