CALVERT CITY — Jesse Lee Bowman, 81, of Calvert City died at 5:55 a.m. Saturday at Western Baptist Hospital.
He was a heavy-equipment operator for SKW Alloys in Calvert City. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict, was a member of the VFW, and was a member of the Church of Christ.
He is survived by his wife, Georgie DeLoyce Taylor Bowman; two daughters, Kaye Story of Calvert City and Janice Flood of Murray; one stepdaughter, Susan Boyles of Shelbyville, Tenn..; one son, Ray Bowman of Murray; five grandchildren; three stepgrandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; three stepgreat-grandchildren; and one sister, Betty Stevenson of Benton.
He was preceded in death by one sister. His parents were Ludd and Ever Bowman.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Monday at Collier Funeral Home in Benton with Bill McCormick officiating. Burial with military honors will be aty 1 p.m. Tuesday at Fredonia Cemetery in Manchester, Tenn.
