HICKMAN — Joe Clyde “Jody” Malone, 78, of Hickman, died Friday at Lourdes hospital.

He was a retired mate for Mid-South Towing Company and of the Methodist faith. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy.

He is survived by two sons, Blane Malone of Cayce and Scott Malone of Hickman; three daughters, Sandra Davis and Gail McClure, both of Hickman, and Wendy Morgan of Fancy Farm; nine grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Monette Malone; and one grandson. His parents were Manuel Eugene and Vera Malone

Services will be at 2 p.m. today at Strong Funeral Home with the Rev. Henry Callison officiating. Burial will follow in Hickman City Cemetery with military rites.

Friends may call after noon today at the funeral home.
