BENTON — Louie Lee Groves, 81, of Benton died Wednesday at his home.

He was retired from Suburban Gas. He was a member of Walnut Grove Church of Christ.

He served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean conflict. He was a Purple Heart recipient.

He is survived by his wife, Shirley Groves; two sons, Leslie Groves and Lyndall Groves, both of Benton; two sisters, Marjorene Pace and Dianna McDougal, both of Benton; and three grandchildren.

He was the son of Lex Groves and Amy Edwards Groves.

Service will be at 3 p.m. Saturday at Collier Funeral Chapel with Donald Jackson, Murray Riley and David Myers officiating.

Burial will follow at New Edwards Cemetery in Benton.

Friends may call after 5 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
