METROPOLIS, Ill. — Mr. Edward James “E.J.” Keipp, 44, of Metropolis, Ill., passed away Tuesday, October 30, 2012.

E.J. was a member of Faith Lutheran Church.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, November 1, 2012, at the Faith Lutheran Church in Metropolis with Rev. John Keihl officiating. Burial will follow at the Zion E & R Cemetery.

E.J. is survived by his wife of 25 years, Julie (Logeman) Keipp of Metropolis; his son, Zachary Keipp and wife Annie of Metropolis; his father, Earl J. Keipp of New Columbia; his sister, Debbie Fisher of Ellery, Ill.; and father- and mother-in-law, Lowell and Janet Logeman of Metropolis, Ill.; several nieces, nephews, and many friends.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Sandra Keipp, and his daughter, Ashley Brooke Keipp.

Visitation will be held at the Faith Lutheran Church from 9 a.m. until the funeral hour on Thursday, November 1.

In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made to the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, Memorial/Honor Program, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.

Pallbearers: Monte Bremer, Lyle Markus, Kenny Burnham, Lanny Grace, Jamie Eickholz, and Randy Fisher.
