Carl ‘Corky’ Meisenheimer, 87, of Paducah, passed away at 10:25 p.m. on Monday, October 29, 2012, at Superior Care Home.
Mr. Meisenheimer was a member of Broadway United Methodist Church and owner of Coca Cola Bottling Company in Cairo, Ill. He enlisted in the U.S. Army Air Corps Aviation Cadet program at the age of seventeen and became an Officer and Fighter Pilot serving in WWII.
Mr. Meisenheimer is survived by a daughter, Carin Pannelli and husband Bob of Niceville, Fla.; two sons, Edward Meisenheimer and wife Molly of Oxford, Miss., and Mark Meisenheimer and wife Christy of Paducah, Ky.; five grandchildren, Drew Meisenheimer and wife Kate of Brandon, Miss., Hunter Meisenheimer and wife Christine of Memphis, Tenn., Matt Kaelin of Atlanta, Ga., Tyler Meisenheimer and wife Lindsey of Olive Branch, Miss., and Blake Meisenheimer of Nashville, Tenn.; three great-grandchildren, Webb Meisenheimer, Miller Meisenheimer and Will Meisenheimer; and one brother, Bob Meisenheimer of Chicago, Ill.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Sally M. Meisenheimer; a daughter, Sarah Meisenheimer; and twin great-grandsons, Patrick and Drew Meisenheimer. His parents were Raymond C. and June Lamar Meisenheimer.
The Meisenheimer family would like to extend a sincere appreciation for the wonderful care given to Corky. Caregivers were Peggy Lampley, Latoya Neville, Kim Carroll, Christie Thomasson, Nancy Morris, Samantha Kettler, Joyce Sedberry and Jami Richards. What a wonderful life he and Sally have had. Fortunate to have such a great family, friends, and the opportunities afforded to them.
There will be private graveside services with Rev. Joe W. Beal officiating. There will be no visitation.
Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah is in charge of arrangements.
