BOAZ — Geraldine Kornegay Carroll, 89, of Boaz, Kentucky, passed away 6 a.m. Thursday at her residence.

She was a native of Paducah.

Surviving are her son, Mike Carroll of Boaz; a grandson, Ronnie Joe Carroll; and two sisters, Mary Pendegrass of Lone Oak and Callie Mae Smith of Boaz.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James H. Carroll; and her son, Joe Ed Carroll; her parents were Robert I Kornegay and Emma Velma Brewer.

Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday at Mount Pleasant Cemetery in Boaz with the Rev. Topper Council officiating. There will be no visitation. The family requests no flowers. Memorials may be given to: Project Hope No Kill Shelter, P.O. Box 125, Metropolis, IL 62960.
