METROPOLIS, Ill. — Mr. Harold D. Volle, 79, of Metropolis, passed away at 10 a.m. Sunday, October 14, 2012 at Southgate Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

Harold was a life-long farmer and a veteran of the US Army serving in the Korean War.

Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, October 18, 2012 at St. John Lutheran Church Cemetery.

Harold is survived by his brother-in-law, Gary Dassing; and several nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Calvin and Reba (Quertermous) Volle; and his two sisters, Joyce Dassing and Wanda Kommer.

Visitation will be held from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Thursday, October 18, 2012 at Aikins-Farmer Funeral Home.
