METROPOLIS, Ill. — Donald D. Hooks, 76, of Dover, Tenn., formerly of Metropolis, died at 7:39 a.m. Thursday at his home.
He was of the Baptist faith and a veteran of the U.S. Air Force.
He is survived by one daughter, Cathy Hooks Barger of Pascagoula, Miss.; four sons, Steven Hooks of Dover, James Hooks of Texas, Heath H. Hooks of Nashville, and Michael R. Hooks of Carbondale; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Wilma McCoy of Dover and Wanda Giller of Kentucky.
He was preceded in death by two sisters and three brothers; his parents were William and Louisa Hooks.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at Miller Funeral Home in Metropolis with Walter McCoy and Doug Terry officiating. Burial will follow at Antioch Baptist Church Cemetery in Rosebud.
