MAYFIELD — Mrs. Lorene Wilson Nunnelee, 94, of Mayfield died Tuesday, September 18, 2012, at her home.
She was a longtime, active member of First United Methodist Church in Mayfield; P.E.O. Sisterhood; member of the Laurel Oak Garden Club; a homemaker; and retired former co-owner and operator of the Ben Franklin store in Mayfield.
Mrs. Nunnelee is survived by three daughters, Terri Snider of Nashville, Tenn., Jan Nunnelee Stone of Richmond, Va., and Marilyn Whitehead of Arlington; one son, Edward M. (Becky) Nunnelee III of Bowling Green, Ky.; two sisters, Gladys Krausnick and Deloris Kallaher, both of Memphis, Tenn.; one brother, Harry Wilson of Georgia; 12 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Marcus Nunnelee Jr.; her parents, Thomas and Sophia Faust Wilson; two sisters, Vivian Lowe and Beatrice Pettit, and two brothers, Wallace and Ernest Wilson.
A memorial service for Lorene Wilson Nunnelee will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, September 30, 2012, at the First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Joe Hansen officiating. Visitation with the family, and reception to follow in the Fellowship Hall of First United Methodist Church.
A family graveside service will be held on Saturday, September 29, 2012, at 1 p.m. at Oak Ridge Cemetery in Doniphan, Mo.
Arrangements are being handled by Byrn Funeral Home.
