CADIZ — Dorothy L. Mitchell, 74, of Cadiz died Monday at her home.

Mrs. Mitchell was a member of Linton United Methodist Church and Trigg County Hospital Auxiliary. She retired from Pennyrile Allied Community Services.

She is survived by four sons, Mark Groves of Evansville, Ind., Kenny Groves of Cadiz, Tony Bass of Louisville and Mike Hines of Mt. Vernon, Ind.; three daughters, Becky Waldrup, Tammy Kyler and Kristi Bass, all of Cadiz; stepsons Jason Mitchell of Oakhurst, Calif., and Travis Mitchell of Huntsville, Ala.; one stepdaughter, Lori Stokes of Elkton; one sister, Zada Wall of Evansville, Ind.; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Douglas E. Mitchell, and one brother. Her parents were Shelby and Hazel Wilson Mason.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Goodwin Funeral Home in Cadiz with the Rev. Kenny Rogers officiating. Burial will be in Bethel United Methodist Church Cemetery in Trigg County.

Friends may call at the funeral home after 4 p.m. today.
