KUTTAWA —Allie Maybell Downing Yates, 71, of Kuttawa, died at Sunday at Western Baptist Hospital.

She is survived by two sons, Stacey Yates of Burna and Eddie Yates of Kuttawa; four daughters, Rosell Knight, Phyllis Dycus, and Connie Lyons, all of Kuttawa and Marlena Hamby of Eddyville; one brother, Johnie Downing of Kuttawa; three sisters, Joann Wood of Kuttawa, Betty Shaffer and Hazel Millsap, both of Robinsville, S.C.; 12 grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Homer Lynn Yates; two sons, James Yates and Kenny Yates; one grandson, Jake Ryan Yates; one great-grandson; one brother; and two sisters. Her parents were John Homer and Maude Trim Downing.

Services will be at 1 p.m Wednesday at Dunn’s Funeral Home in Eddyville with burial in Macedonia Cemetery. Friends may call after 6 p.m. today at the funeral home.
