MAYFIELD — James R. “Jimmy” Blakemore, 69, of Mayfield died at 10:43 p.m. Tuesday at Murray-Calloway County Hospital.

He was of the Baptist faith, and worked in maintenance for a publishing company.

He is survived by his wife, Linda Woods Blakemore; three daughters, Regina Blakemore of Mayfield, Sandra Lee of Kuttawa, and Demetra Sue Conner of Naperville, Ill.; one sister, Mary Etta Jackson of Mayfield; two brothers, Willie Luke Blakemore of Mayfield, and William Blakemore of Paris, Tenn.; and 13 grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters.

His parents were Fred D. and Addie Mae Starks Blakemore.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Brown Funeral Home in Mayfield with the Revs. Glen Stewart and Marshall Ivey officiating. Burial will follow in Highland Park Cemetery.
