Dan Davis, age 60, of Paducah passed away at 1:42 p.m. Monday, Sept. 17, 2012, at his residence.

Mr. Davis was a native of Paducah and was a member of the Mount Zion Baptist Church. He was an avid fisherman and loved the outdoors. Dan also served in the U.S. Army and was retired from the Paducah Water Works.

He is survived by his wife, Vicki McLeod Davis; his sister, Diane Cox and husband Bayne; and his brother, Richard “Dickie” Davis and wife Judy; several nieces and nephews, and many wonderful friends and neighbors.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Harry Davis and Margaret Pirtle Davis.

A memorial service will be held at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 20, 2012, at Keeling Family Funeral Home with the Rev. Larry Davidson officiating.

Friends may visit with the family from 5 p.m. until the funeral hour Thursday at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested memorials be given in memory of Dan to the Lourdes Hospice, 2855 Jackson St., Paducah, KY 42003.
