BARLOW, Ky. — Geneva Doublin Myers, age 90, of Barlow, passed away Monday, September 17, 2012, at Countryside Care & Rehabilitation Center in Bardwell, Ky.

She was born August 18, 1922, to Jessie and Gracie Williams Doublin in Blandville, Ky. She was a member of Barlow Baptist Church. She loved to travel, but her family was her life. She was a seamstress for many years at Snores.

She is survived by three daughters, Gale Abanatha and husband Royce of Cunningham, Gracie McElya Nichols and husband Buddy of Eddyville, and Ruthie McQuady and husband Randall of Gilbertsville; one brother, Pete Doublin of Eddyville; four granddaughters, Ganeen Trevathan and husband Billy of Cunningham, Samantha Renfrow and husband Randy of Orlando, Fla., Andee Dawn Ralls and husband Gregg of Fort Polk, La., Kristi Watwood and husband Tracy of Benton; and one grandson, Clay McElya and wife Tracey of Gilbertsville. She is also survived by 12 great-grandchildren, Josh Trevathan of Cunningham; Jason Quaid, Whitley Page and Trayson Creed Watwood of Benton; Connelly Grace, Charlotte Ann and Noble Robert Renfrow of Orlando, Fla.; Zack, Tyler, and Brayden Quinn McElya of Gilbertsville; Nolan Andrew and Norah Evelyn Ralls of Fort Polk, La.

She was preceded in death by her husband, C.D. Myers; one grandson, Jason Leo Page McQuady; one great-granddaughter, Sarah Kate Ralls; three brothers; and four sisters.

Funeral services for Geneva Myers will be at 1 p.m. Thursday, September 20, 2012, at Morrow Funeral Chapel of La Center with the Rev. DeWayne Chadwick officiating.

Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. on Thursday before the service. Interment will follow at Barlow Cemetery in Barlow, Ky.

Morrow Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
