Pauline Butler Hays, 69, of Paducah died Sunday at 8 p.m. at her residence.
Pauline attended Freedom Center Church, raised in the Pentecost faith and a co-founder of Ladies Lighthouse Harbor Ministry. Pauline had a vision to help young girls and women who have been in abusive situations. She was a cosmetologist in Lone Oak for 35 years and attended Lone Oak High School.
Survivors include one son, Jack Lloyd Hays, Louisville, Ky.; one brother, Bobby Dean (Joann) Butler; one niece, Deborah Butler Collier; two nephews, Michael (Paula) Butler and Timothy (Caroline) Butler, all of Paducah. She is also survived by one great-nephew, four great-nieces and several great-great-nieces and nephews. Several cousins in the Huntingdon, Tenn., area also survive.
Preceding in death were her parents, John Calvin and Betty Lucille Smothers Butler; and one infant brother.
Services will be held Saturday, September 15, 2012, at 1 p.m. at Palmers Shelter Church in Huntingdon, Tenn.
Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Visitation will be held at the Lone Oak Chapel Milner & Orr Funeral Home on Friday, September 14, 2012, from 5 to 8 p.m. Friends may also visit with the family on Saturday at the church after 11 a.m.
