June Ransom Spees, 79, of Lone Oak died at 2:22 p.m. Tuesday at Lourdes hospital.

Mrs. Spees had worked for the Hendron Water District and was a member of Woodlawn Cumberland Presbyterian Church and the Cumberland Pioneers. She served as secretary for the West Kentucky Crime Stoppers, was a charter member of the Paducah Ambassadors and a member of the Concord Homemakers.

She is survived by three sons, Phil Spees, Stan Spees and Greg Spees, all of Paducah; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, V.E. “Gene” Spees. Her parents were Samuel Wilbur Ransom and Mary Tyler Ransom.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Lone Oak Chapel of Milner and Orr Funeral Home with the Rev. David Fackler officiating.

Burial will follow in Maplelawn Park Cemetery.

Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.

Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to the Jewish Hospital/St. Mary’s Foundation in honor of Corey Spees, 200 Abraham Flexner Way, Louisville, KY 40202; or Woodlawn Cumberland Presbyterian Church, 3402 Benton Road, Paducah, KY 42003.
