SOUTH FULTON, Tenn. — Services for Sallie Chambers, 95, of Chicago, formerly of South Fulton, will be at noon Friday at Hornbeak Funeral Chapel in Fulton, Ky. Burial will be in Pleasant View Memorial Gardens.
Mrs. Chambers died Friday at Renaissance Park South in Chicago.
She was the oldest member of Bells Chapel CME Church in Fulton, Ky., where she had served as a member of the Senior Choir, Steward Board and Stewardess Board and as Sunday school superintendent. She attended Allen Metropolitan CME Church in Chicago.
She is survived by one daughter, Treva Kerney of Chicago; one son, the Rev. Will Earl Chambers of Easton, Md.; two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband. Hall Chambers; one sister; and one brother. Her parents were Carrie Galloway and Ameal Hunter.
