BENTON — Gilbert Wayne Filbeck, age 75, of Benton, Ky. died Saturday, September 8, 2012, at his residence in Benton, Ky. He was a member of the Oak Grove Cumberland Presbyterian Church and was a self employed contractor.

He was the son of the late Hoy Gilbert Filbeck and the late Nellie Smith Fibeck Gore.

He is survived by one daughter, Eva Mae Filbeck Hubbard of Benton, Ky.; two sons, Darrell Wayne Filbeck of Benton, Ky. and Hoye Filbeck of Smithland, Ky.; six grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, and special friend Judy Reeves of Benton, Ky.

He is preceded in death by his wife of 50 years Marion Kay King Filbeck; one daughter, Debbie Kay Filbeck Triplett; and one brother, Larry Richard Filbeck.

Arrangements are being handled by Collier Funeral Home, Benton, Ky. where the family will receive friends from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m., Sunday September 9, 2012.

Funeral service will be on Monday, September 10, 2012 at 1 p.m. with Rev. Randy Lowe and Rev. Jim Fulton officiating. Services will be held at the Collier Funeral Chapel. Interment will follow at Brewers Cemetery, Benton, Ky.

Family asks that in Lieu of flowers that contributions be made to the Oak Grove Cumberland Presbyterian Church Bldg. Fund, 274 Magness Road, Benton, Ky. 42025.
