Ricky Deen Dukes, 58, of Paducah passed away at 8:10 p.m. Friday at Western Baptist Hospital.

Ricky was born on October 25, 1953, in Norfolk, Va., to Anna Lois Dodds Dukes and the late Encil Deen Dukes. He was a member of the Lone Oak First Baptist Church and former member of the Paducah Lions Club. Ricky was an insurance agent for 27 years with Shelter Insurance. He was an avid boater and was better known by the lake community simply as “Breeze”. Ricky was a loving and devoted husband, son, uncle, and a great big brother.

He is survived by his wife of 27 years, Carol Steele Hamilton Dukes; two sisters, Teresa Diane Dukes Green and husband Lynn of Benton and Monica Dukes Dalbey and husband Matthew of Lyon County; four nephews, James Green and Joey Green, both of Benton, Gage Austin Lamb and Garrick Deen Lamb, both of Lyon County; one niece, Crystal Kelley of Lyon County; one great-niece, Elizabeth Green of Benton; and two brothers-in-law, Gerald Steele of West Bend, Wis., and David Steele of Brentwood, Tenn.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, September 10, 2012, at Milner & Orr Funeral Home with Dr. Willis Henson officiating.

Burial will follow in Murray City Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. Sunday, September 9, 2012, at the funeral home.
