METROPOLIS, Ill. — Johanna Esther Waid, 15, of Metropolis, Ill., passed away Monday, September 3, 2012, at Carbondale Memorial Hospital in Carbondale, Ill.

Johanna is survived by her father, Terry Waid and wife Diane; her mother, Heldi Sofia Waid; three sisters, Destinee Waid, Rachel Kennedy and Kristin Ermel; two brothers, Tim Ermel and wife Paula, and Zach Ermel; her grandparents, Josephine Waid, Denny and Juanita Lingle, and Mr. and Mrs. Palacia, as well as several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her grandfather Joe Waid.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, September 6, 2012, at the Aikins-Farmer Funeral Home in Metropolis, with Rev. Don LaBrok officiating.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 6, 2012, from 10 a.m. until the funeral hour at the Aikins-Farmer Funeral Home in Metropolis.
