MURRAY — Verna Louise Hightower, 56, of Murray, died Sunday, at her home.

She was a member of Grace Baptist Church.

She is survived by her husband, David Hightower; one son, David V. Hightower of Fairdealing; one daughter, Julie Hightower of Millington, Tenn.; her parents, Vernon and Nina Mize Neathemer of Cairo, Ill.; one sister, Joyce Greer of Sikeston, Mo.; and two grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents.

Funeral services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Wednesday, at Imes-Miller Funeral Home. Bro. Sammy Cunningham will officiate. A private family burial will follow at the Hamlet Baptist Church Cemetery. Friends may call after noon at the funeral home.
