HARDIN — Violet Treamon Hopkins, 93, of Hardin died at 1:40 p.m. Friday at her home.

She was a member of Unity Cumberland Presbyterian Church.

She is survived by three daughters, Gracie Tucker of Hardin, Helen Massengill-Moore of Weeki Wachee, Fla., and Dorothy Lyle of Taylor, Mich.; three sons, Jerry Hopkins of Murray, David Hopkins of Envil, Tenn., and Wayne Hopkins of Hardin; 19 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and several great-great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Newmon Wilson Hopkins. Her parents were Howard and Effie Henderson Sweet.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Filbeck-Cann & King Funeral Home in Benton. The Revs. Brian Hayes and William Duke will officiate, with burial in Unity Cemetery.
