Mr. and Mrs. Cecil Roberts of Paducah celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary with a family dinner.

Mr. Roberts and the former Nellie Sue Howell were married Aug. 18, 1947, in Mayfield.

Their attendants were Jacquline Fowler Wilks, sister of the groom, and Clifford Fowler.

Mrs. Roberts is retired from Kresge’s and Kmart. She is the daughter of the late Mattie Freeland and the late Hillary Howell.

Mr. Roberts is retired from Modine Manufacturing Co. and is the former owner of R&R Radiator. He is the son of the late Thomas “Tom” and Verna Roberts.

They are the parents of Lucinda Smith, Sally Batusic and William “Billy” Roberts, all of Paducah, and Vicky Holton of Murray. They have seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
