Mr. and Mrs. Mark Scheer of Grand Rivers and Mr. and Mrs. David DeYoung of Grand Rivers announce the engagement of their daughter, Samantha Kay DeYoung, to Michael Allen Wray, son of Mr. and Mrs. Michael Wray of Paducah.

Miss DeYoung is the granddaughter of Edward Smith of Annsville and the late Joan Smith, and Wayne DeYoung of Beaverville, Ill., and the late Lois DeYoung. She is a 2006 graduate of Livingston Central High School in Smithland and earned an associate degree in business administration in 2009 from West Kentucky Community & Technical College. She is employed by C Plant in Paducah.

Mr. Wray is the grandson of Loretta Milligan of Kankakee, Ill., and the late Robert Milligan, and Harry Wray of Paducah and the late Elizabeth Wray. He is a 2001 graduate of Heath High School and is a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps. He is employed by the McCracken County Sheriff’s Dept.

Wedding vows will be exchanged at noon Oct. 20 at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church in Paducah.
