METROPOLIS, Ill. — Evelyn Eufaula Paris, 91, of Metropolis passed away at 12:15 a.m. Thursday, July 26, 2012, at Southgate Nursing Home in Metropolis.
Funeral services will be held Sunday, July 29, 2012, at 2 p.m. at Brookport Funeral Home in Brookport, Ill., with the Rev. Tim Pearcy officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Sterling Cemetery.
Survivors include one son, Thomas Paris and wife, Wanda of Brookport; one daughter-in-law, Susan Paris of Paducah; two daughters, Linda Ward and husband, Jim of Benton, Ky., and Carla Paris of Paducah; four grandchildren, Dennis Paris of Brookport, Bobby Turner and David Lee Paris and wife, Marcy, all of Paducah, and Melina Draffen and husband, Burt of Metropolis; great-grandchildren, Emma and Aiden Paris, both of Paducah, and Sumar Holt and Taylor Russell, both of Metropolis; two sisters, Louise Chandler of Dallas, Texas, and Silvia Pearcy and husband, Maurice of Brookport; and several nieces and nephews.
Evelyn was preceded in death by her parents, Lennie and Lee Adkinson; her husband, Vernell Paris; five brothers and one sister.
Visitation will be held from noon until the funeral hour Sunday, July 29, 2012, at Brookport Funeral Home in Brookport.
