WATER VALLEY — Hazel Weatherford Leath, 88, of Water Valley died Friday at her home.

Mrs. Leath was a member of Water Valley Baptist Church and was a homemaker.

She is survived by eight children, Richard Leath of Dandridge, Tenn., Larry Leath of Mayfield, Nancy Knapp of St. Clair Shores, Mich., Barbara McMorries of Jonesboro, Ark., Rebecca Lynn Crider of Madisonville, Robert Leath Jr. of Bartlett, Tenn., Joanne Steed of Jonesboro and Danny Leath of Nortonville; three sisters, Caroline Weatherford of Corinth, Miss., Nada Hewitt of Memphis, Tenn., and Sue Hicks Phillips of Roswell, Ga.; 23 grandchildren; and 26 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Cecil Leath Sr.; two sons; three brothers; and six sisters. Her parents were Georgia Lillian Sanders Weatherford and William Turner Weatherford,

Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Hornbeak Funeral Chapel with interment in Clark Cemetery. Friends may call after 5 p.m. Tuesday and after 8 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
