WOODLAWN, Tenn. — J. Roy Pulley, 75, of Woodlawn died Sunday at Gateway Medical Center.

He was a tow boat captain and a member of the Church of Christ.

Survivors include two children, Michael Pulley of Hickory and Janice Elaine Vancura of Symsonia; a sister, Helen Gower; a grandson; and a great-granddaughter.

His parents were Roman and Lillian Sanford Pulley.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at McReynolds-Nave & Larson Funeral Home with the Rev. David Lee officiating. Burial will follow in Cumberland City Cemetery. Friends may call after 4 p.m. Wednesday and after 11 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
