MURRAY — Thelma Welch, 105, of Murray died Wednesday.

She was a school teacher in Texas and Arkansas, having received her college degree from Arkansas State University in Jonesboro, Ark.

She is survived by two sons, David Welch of Elgin, Ill., and Paul Welch of Murray; 10 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Elmer Welch, and a son, John Welch. Her parents were John and Janie Gray.

Services will be at noon Saturday at Phillips Funeral Home in Paragould.

The family will receive visitors from 10 a.m.-noon Saturday at the funeral home.
