Mr. and Mrs. Randy Orr of Paducah announce the engagement of their daughter, Jenna Caroline Orr, to Brian Gregory Wainer, son of Mr. and Mrs. Jeff LaPlant of Cave Creek, Ariz., and Greg Wainer of Sylvania, Ohio.

Miss Orr is the granddaughter of Judy Milner of Paducah. She is a 2004 graduate of Carlisle County High School, a 2008 graduate of the University of Kentucky and earned a master’s degree from Arizona State University. She is an alumna of Chi Omega sorority. Miss Orr is a junior architect for CDM Smith in Phoenix, Ariz.

Mr. Wainer is the grandson of Barbara Roup of Cave Creek, Ariz., and Mr. and Mrs. Howard Wainer of Sylvania, Ohio. He is a 2003 graduate of Springfield High School in Holland, Ohio, and a 2007 graduate of the University of Kentucky. He is an alumnus of Sigma Alpha Epsilon. Mr. Wainer is a sales representative for Stryker in Peoria, Ariz.

An Oct. 6 wedding is planned at the Montelucia Resort in Scottsdale, Ariz.
