Michael and Pamela Malast of Paducah announce the engagement of their daughter, Allison Leigh Malast, to Daniel Lee Thompson, son of Terry and Christine Thompson of Kevil, and Kenneth and Donna Hickman of Mayfield.

Miss Malast is the granddaughter of Ralph and Barbara Pickard of Mayfield, and the late Germaine Malast. She is a 2005 graduate of St. Mary High School and a 2010 graduate of the University of Kentucky in Lexington with a bachelor’s degree in nursing. She is employed by Western Baptist Hospital.

Mr. Thompson is the grandson of the late Merle and Patsy LeFevre, and the late James and Neva Thompson. He is a 2005 graduate of Ballard Memorial High School and is an apprentice with the Plumbers and Steamfitters Local Union No. 184.

Wedding vows will be exchanged at 7 p.m. June 9 at St. Thomas More Catholic Church in Paducah.
