Jack and Michelle Berry of Marion announce the engagement of their daughter, Kara Ashley Berry, to Janson Ray James, son of Anthony and Janet James of Murray.

Miss Berry is the granddaughter of John Hamilton of Marion and the late Wanda Hamilton, and James and Wanda Berry of Marion. She is a 2009 graduate of Crittenden County High School and a 2012 graduate of Murray State University with a bachelor’s degree in math and secondary education.

Miss James is the grandson of James Robert and Charlene Freeman of Cadiz, and Ray and Mary Jane James of Marion. He is a 2009 graduate of Crittenden County High School in Marion and a 2012 graduate of Murray State University with a bachelor’s degree in accounting.

Wedding vows will be exchanged at 2 p.m. June 9 at Oakland Manor in Hopkinsville.
