“Three Stooges”
Moe, Larry, and Curly inadvertently stumble into a murder plot and wind up starring in a reality TV show, all while trying to save the orphanage they grew up in.
The buzz: What I thought could be a cool movie, if made correctly, seems to have turned into a side-show. I don’t think there’s anything that would attract even the most avid of “Three Stooges” fans to see it in theaters.
Showing at: Cinemark
Length: 92 minutes.

“The Cabin in the Woods”
Five friends go to a — wait for it — cabin in the woods, where they discover a grisley backstory and horror insues.
The buzz: I am being so sarcastic about this because it’s been done. The only reason I would maybe even rent this movie is to see how Chris Hemsworth does in a regular role that isn’t super-hero related. Otherwise, it’s the same old story.
Showing at: Cinemark
Length: 95 minutes.

“A Separation”
Set in Iran, “A Separation” is the story of a couple going through a divorce while the man deals with father with Alzheimer’s and a lying maid.
The buzz: This one is intense, and gives a lot of insight into how messy a divorce can be, especially in Iran. It definitely will keep your attention.
Showing at: Maiden Alley Cinema
Length: 123 minutes.
Show times: 7 p.m. and 9:20 p.m. on Friday, 4:30 p.m., 7 p.m. and 9:20 p.m. on Saturday and 4:30 p.m. and 7 p.m. on Sunday.
