FANCY FARM — Mr. and Mrs. James Arnell “Jim” Johnson of Fancy Farm will celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary with a family dinner at Lambert’s in Sikeston, Mo.

Mr. Johnson and the former Fay Bridget Redden were married March 10, 1952, by the Rev. Edward Russell at St. Jerome Catholic Church rectory in Fancy Farm. Their attendants were Shirley Burgess Baggett and Harold Lee Redden, brother of the bride.

Mrs. Johnson is retired from The Downtown Association of Joplin, Mo., and formerly worked at West Kentucky Allied Services in Mayfield. She is the daughter of the late Eulas Clay and Mary Roxie Toon Redden.

Mr. Johnson is a retired store manager for the B.F. Goodrich Tire Co. in Joplin, Mo., and formerly worked at Plaza Tire Service in Lone Oak and Cape Girardeau, Mo. He is the son of the late Pyrtle Boone and Vera Lutie Klapp Johnson.

They are the parents of Barbara Watts and Donna Julian of Cape Girardeau, and Kevin Johnson of Fancy Farm. They have five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
