Erin Kateri Nance and Robert David Newman were united in marriage July 9, 2011, at St. Thomas More Catholic Church in Paducah with the Rev. J. Patrick Reynolds officiating. Music was provided by James Hess of Paducah, organist; and Jacob Hein of Mayfield, cantor. Readers were Karen Smith of Paducah and Jacob Leach of Cottage Grove, Tenn.

The bride is the daughter of Mrs. Crystal Nance of Paducah and the late David Nance of Cairo, Ill.

The groom is the son of David Lee Newman of Paris, Tenn., and the late Carol Sue Newman of Puryear, Tenn.

The bride chose her mother, Mrs. Crystal Nance of Paducah, as her matron of honor. The bride wore her mother’s wedding veil. Bridesmaids were Mrs. Amanda Arnold of Paducah, Ms. Christina Shepherd of Murray, and Mrs. Elizabeth Jackson of Puryear, Tenn. Miss Hannah Long, daughter of Maria Long of Paducah, served as flower girl. Ringbearer was Keaton Arnold, son of Amanda and Dustin Arnold of Paducah.

The groom chose Kevin Jackson of Puryear, Tenn., as his best man. Groomsmen were Michael Newman of Paris, Tenn., brother of the groom; Jay Dyer of Murray; and Matt Kruprzak of Paris, Tenn.

A reception followed at St. Thomas More reception hall. Servers were Karen Smith of Paducah, Christine Padula of Volo, Ill., and Jacob Leach of Cottage Grove, Tenn.

The bride is a 1998 graduate of the University of Mississippi in Oxford with a bachelor’s degree in psychology and a 2007 graduate of Southern Illinois University-Carbondale with a master’s degree in communicative disorders. She is employed as a speech-language pathologist for the Paducah Public Schools.

The groom earned a bachelor’s degree in environmental engineering in 2001 from Murray State University in Murray, where he is pursuing a master’s degree in counseling.

They reside in Paducah.
