LEXINGTON — Jennifer Jo Connor and John Hagan Codell were united in marriage on April 16, 2011, at Central Christian Church in Lexington with Dr. Ray Holdren officiating the ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Terry Gipson of Kevil, and Mr. and Mrs. Joe Connor of Paducah.
The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. J. Hagan Codell of Winchester.
The bride chose Mrs. Lucille Mackey of Chicago, Illinois, as her matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Miss Nora Gipson of Kevil; Mrs. Natalie Paschall of Paducah; Mrs. Ashley Landis, Miss Kelly King, Mrs. Tiffany Dail and Mrs. Ashley Turner, all of Lexington. Miss Briley Benton, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Shannon Benton of Kevil, served as the flower girl. Scripture reader was Miss Kara Cook of Louisville. Program attendants were Mrs. Heather Sparks of Louisville and Mrs. Nicole Codell of Charleston, South Carolina. Miss Brittany Porter of Lexington attended the guest registry.
The groom chose Mr. Morgan Codell of Charleston, South Carolina, as his best man. Groomsmen were Mr. Blanton Coates Jr., Mr. Danny Neely II and Mr. David William Codell Jr., all of Winchester; Mr. Daniel Razor IV, Mr. Mark Steger and Mr. John Morton, all of Mount Sterling. Ushers were Mr. Dylan Gipson of Kevil; Mr. Ryan Steger and Mr. Christopher Peck of Mount Sterling; Mr. Neal Terry of Jackson; and Mr. Ayden Meyer of Aiken, South Carolina.
A reception at the Hilary J. Boone Center on the University of Kentucky’s campus in Lexington followed the ceremony.
The bride is a 2000 graduate of Lone Oak High School. She is a 2004 graduate of the University of Kentucky with a bachelor’s degree in broadcast journalism and political science. She is employed by Boehringer-lngelheim Pharmaceuticals.
The groom is a 1997 graduate of George Rogers Clark High School. He is a 2001 graduate of Wofford College in Spartanburg, South Carolina, with a bachelor’s degree in government. He is employed by Codell Construction.
The couple reside in Winchester.
