MURRAY — Mr. and Mrs. Jimmy Stairs of Murray, formerly of the Fulgham community of Hickman County, recently celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary with a family dinner at Patti’s restaurant in Grand Rivers.

Mr. Stairs and the former Linda Pittman were married Oct. 12, 1961, in Fulton by Ira Henderson. Their attendants were Doris Sadler Veatch and Ronald Stairs.

Mrs. Stairs retired from Heritage Bank in Hopkinsville. She is the daughter of the late Harry Dale and Pauline Pittman.

Mr. Stairs retired from the contracting business and is active in the Baptist ministry, having formerly pastored several Baptist churches including Cayce, Pryorsburg and Antioch. He is the son of the late Doyce and Dorothy Stairs.

They are the parents of Dr. Deborah Stairs of Knoxville, Tenn., and Sonya Stairs-Allen of Paris, Tenn.
