BARDWELL — Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Lee Williams of Bardwell will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary with a family dinner at Patti’s restaurant in Grand Rivers.

Mr. Williams and the former Sylvia Ann Courtney were married Sept. 27, 1961, at Bardwell Baptist Church by Foster Howard. Their attendants were Bobby and Linda Sue Morgan.

Mrs. Williams retired from the Carlisle County School System with 30 years’ service. She is the daughter of the late Rufus Courtney and the late Mabel Brewer.

Mr. Williams is the CEO of the Bardwell and Arlington Citizens Deposit Bank, where he has been employed for 46 years. He is the son of the late Ed and Merce Williams.

They have one son, Ricky Lee Williams of Bardwell; and two grandchildren.
