Lauri Jo Throgmorton and Steven Lawrence Thompson were united in marriage April 23 at First Baptist Church of Paducah. The Rev. Todd Brady officiated. Music was provided by Dawn Durham, vocalist; Matt Hinz, vocalist; Art Deweese, organist; and Stephanie Hinz, pianist, all of Paducah.
The bride is the daughter of Larry Throgmorton of West Paducah and Mr. and Mrs. Carrol Walden of Paducah.
The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Albert Thompson of Marion and the late Linda Muirhead Thompson.
The bride chose Ms. Dawn Durham of Paducah as her matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Mrs. Faith Hesley, Miss Katie Arnzen and Miss Megan Mayne, all of Paducah; Miss Krissie Golden of Lexington and Mrs. Jennifer Linville of Louisville. Serving as flower girls were Miss Dawson Thomas, daughter of Jake and Krystal Thomas of Ocean Springs, Miss.; and Miss Macie DeJarnatt, daughter of Ryan and Jessica DeJarnatt of Bardwell. Ringbearer was Ty DeJarnatt, son of Ryan and Jessica DeJarnatt.
The groom chose David Courtney of Paducah as his best man. Groomsmen were Jake Thomas of Ocean Springs, Miss., Jared Gentry of Metropolis, Ill., Jamie Travis of Marion, Marcus Vaughan of Murray and Darren Tinsley of Paducah. Serving as ushers were Charlie Throgmorton of Nashville, Tenn., Ryan DeJarnatt of Bardwell, Shane DeJarnatt of Cunningham, Keith Hoover of Greenville, Miss., and Andrew Durham of Paducah.
A reception followed at the Paducah Country Club. Megan Durham of Paducah attended the guest register.
The bride is a 2002 graduate of Heath High School in West Paducah and a 2008 graduate of Murray State University. She is employed by Paducah Dental Care.
The groom is a 2000 graduate of Crittenden County High School in Marion and a 2005 graduate of Murray State University. He is employed by the City of Paducah.
The couple resides in Paducah.
