Leo Green Jr. of Paducah and Linda and John Asbell of Paducah announce the engagement of their daughter, Megan Leigh Green, to Timothy Dean Tamisiea, son of Dr. Dean Tamisiea of Council Bluffs, Iowa, and Ann and Lawrence Etienne of Omaha, Neb.

Miss Green is the granddaughter of Elta Green of Paducah and the late Leo Green Sr., and the late W.E. and Grace Flint. She is a 1997 graduate of Lone Oak High School, a 2001 graduate of Lipscomb University in Nashville, Tenn., and earned a master’s degree in 2010 from Roosevelt University in Chicago. She is employed as an editorial recruiter with Groupon in Chicago.

Mr. Tamisiea is the grandson of Peggy Buchan of Omaha, Neb., and the late John Buchan and the late Dr. Francis and Frances Tamisiea. He is a 1995 graduate of Creighton Prep High School in Omaha, a 1999 graduate of Marquette University in Milwaukee, Wis., and is pursuing his masters of fine arts in film production from Columbia College Chicago.

Wedding vows will be exchanged Oct. 1 in Omaha.
