Dale and Patty Grimm of Paducah announce the engagement of their daughter, Jessie Nicole Grimm, to Matthew David Meiser, son of David and Nancy Meiser of Middletown, Ohio.

Miss Grimm is the granddaughter of Wanda Souder of Paducah, Howard Souder of New Marion, Ind., and Joyce and Charles Grimm of Paducah. She is a 2002 graduate of Lone Oak High School and earned a bachelor’s degree in nursing in 2006 from the University of Kentucky in Lexington, where she is pursuing a doctorate in pediatric nurse practitioning. She is employed by the University of Kentucky Chandler Medical Center.

Mr. Meiser is the grandson of Joan Kelley of Hamilton, Ohio, and the late Robert Kelley, and Marion Meiser of Cincinnati, Ohio, and the late Urban Meiser. He is a 2001 graduate of Middletown High School in Middletown, Ohio, and earned a bachelor’s degree in health and sport studies in 2005 from Miami University of Ohio in Oxford. He is employed as a fire fighter/paramedic with the Lexington Fire Department.

Wedding vows will be exchanged at 6:30 p.m. Oct. 8 at My Old Kentucky Home in Bardstown.
