David and Mary D. Tucker of Paducah announce the engagement of their daughter, April Leigh Tucker, to Collin Dale Choate, son of Kevin and Jo Choate of Metropolis, Ill.

Miss Tucker is the granddaughter of Loraine Powell of Metropolis, Ill., and Bill and Irma Tucker of Paducah. She is a 2006 graduate of Lone Oak High School and a 2011 graduate of Murray State University with a bachelor’s degree in nursing. She is employed by Western Baptist Hospital.

Mr. Choate is the grandson of Jean Bichon of Metropolis and Dale and Beverly Choate of Metropolis. He is a 2004 graduate of Massac County High School and earned a degree in radiography in 2008 from West Kentucky Community & Technical College. He is employed by Harrah’s Metropolis Casino.

Wedding vows will be exchanged at 6 p.m. Sept. 10 at United Church of Paducah. All friends and relatives are invited.
