Gary and Monna McElya of Kevil announce the engagement of their daughter, Jennifer Dee McElya, to William Christopher Linville, son of Billy and Betty Linville of Berea.

Miss McElya is the granddaughter of Glenn and Jean Shelby of Kevil and the late Charles L. Peyton, and Ruth McElya of Kevil and the late John D. McElya. She is a 2002 graduate of Heath High School in West Paducah and earned a bachelor’s degree in nursing in 2007 from Murray State University. She is enrolled for the fall semester at Spalding University. She is a registered nurse employed by Western Baptist Hospital.

Mr. Linville is the grandson of Ruth Devere of Berea and the late Coleman Devere, and Geneva Linville of Berea and the late Irene Hall and the late Ed Linville. He is a 2003 graduate of Madison Southern High School in Berea and earned a bachelor’s degree in finance in 2007 from Eastern Kentucky University. He is an assistant vice president and underwriter of commercial real estate at PNC Bank in Louisville.

Wedding vows will be exchanged July 30 at Newton Creek Baptist Church in Kevil.
