Zane and Sandy Atkinson of West Paducah announce the engagement of their daughter, Holly Ann Atkinson, to James Brian Turner, son of James and Kathie Turner of Fulton.

Miss Atkinson is the granddaughter of Betty Vandevelde of Paducah, and the late Charlene and Bill Atkinson. She is a graduate of Heath High School and a graduate of Southern Illinois University at Carbondale with a bachelor’s degree in applied dental science. She is a dental hygienist in Paducah.

Mr. Turner is the grandson of the late Billy Joe and Mary Jeanne King, and the late CA and Mae Turner. He is a graduate of Seabreeze High School in Daytona Beach, Fla. He earned a bachelor of science degree from Appalachian State University in Boone, N.C., and a master’s degree in medical pathology from the University of Maryland in Baltimore. He is a pathologist assistant employed by Pathology Associates of Paducah.

Wedding vows will be exchanged July 16 at Broadway United Methodist Church in Paducah.
