KEVIL — Mr. and Mrs. William Earl Davis of Kevil, the Ragland community, celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on Friday.

Mr. Davis and the former Beverly Milner were married July 1, 1961, by the Rev. Garland Sills at Newton Creek Baptist Church in Ragland. Their attendants were Hugh Thomas Davis and Dorothy Davis Myers, brother and sister of the groom.

Mr. and Mrs. Davis both retired from the Tennessee Valley Authority’s Shawnee Power Plant.

Mrs. Davis is the daughter of the late Gordon and Rosa Milner. Mr. Davis is the son of the late Alva and Jeanette Long Davis.

They have two children: Earl Whayne Davis of Ragland and Randy Joe Davis of Blandville; and two grandchildren.
