Mr. and Mrs. Delbert Powers of Reidland will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary with a reception from 2 to 4 p.m. today in the parlor of Gospel Mission Worship Center in Reidland. All friends and relatives are invited. The couple requests no gifts.

Mr. Powers and the former Vicki Belle Johnson were married July 1, 1961, by the Rev. Joe Gardner at Oakland Methodist Church in Sharpe. Their attendants were Donald Raney and Jackie Jones.

Mrs. Powers is the daughter of Ira Earl and Allen Johnson of Paducah and the late Loretta Kreutzer Norsworthy.

Mr. Powers is a retired construction contractor. He is the son of the late George Elbert and Gladys Irene Seibert Powers.

They have three children: Kimberly Yates, Julie Smith and Andy Powers, all of Reidland; and seven grandchildren.
