Mr. and Mrs. Harold Story of Sharpe will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary with a casual reception hosted by their daughters from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Rosebower Baptist Church in Reidland. All friends and relatives are invited. The couple requests no gifts.

Mr. Story and the former Laura Alice Bailey were married July 1, 1961, at Rosebower Baptist Church by the Rev. E.N. Crider. Their attendants were George Story and Gail Draffen.

Mrs. Story is a registered nurse retired from Lourdes hospital with 30 years’ service. She is the daughter of Mildred Hamlett Bailey of Sharpe and the late Henry Bailey.

Mr. Story is retired from Story’s Backhoe Service and Operating Engineers Local Union 181. He is the son of the late Joe and Margie Noles and the late Ben Story.

They have two daughters: Tina Story-Engelhardt of Reidland and Mechele Renee Thomas of Sharpe; and two granddaughters.
