LOVELACEVILLE — Mr. and Mrs. John Burnett of Lovelaceville will celebrate their 25th wedding anniversary on Monday. The couple requests no gifts.

Mr. Burnett and the former Rita Gale Vickrey were married June 27, 1986, by the Rev. Franklin D. Skaggs at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church in Princeton. Their attendants were Leonard Gipson and Lori Newsom Harper.

Mrs. Burnett is the daughter of the late Mary Vickrey Oliver.

Mr. Burnett is a retired captain in the U.S. Army and is the pastor of Lovelaceville Baptist Church. He is the son of Bonnie Gipson of Cerulean and the late Ted Burnett.

They have two children: Jarib Burnett of Lovelaceville and William Elledge of Kevil; and six grandchildren.
